Alateen is a support group for 13-18 year olds whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking, like family members or friends. It is estimated that each alcoholic affects the lives of at least four other people…alcoholism is truly a family disease. No matter what relationship you have with an alcoholic, all who have been affected by some else’s drinking can find assistance in the Alanon/Alateen fellowship.

The Bronze Key is a national recognition award granted by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) to an individual or organization that has made an outstanding contribution to an NCADD affiliate. It is the highest local award presented by an NCADD affiliate. Mr. Decio has been a friend and supporter of AARC for many years. Two of Mr. Decio’s daughters, Lindy and Jay, were present for the event.
